Niantic, the much popular but less heard company behind the immensely popular Pokemon Go game, has revealed that the downloads in totals for the game have spanned the 750 million mark. The game was initially launched following in July last year.
“It’s been an unbelievable first year for Pokémon GO thanks to the enthusiasm and commitment from the Global Trainer community,” as said via Niantic CEO, John Hanke.
It’s worth noticing that Pokemon Go traversed the 500 million downloads milestone last year back in September, a couple of months after it was launched.
The game is fast approaching its first anniversary, which the company plans to celebrate by unleashing a variety of in-game and real-world activities.
“As part of the very first anniversary, we’ll be awarding players around the world the opportunity to have fun in-game events, engage with friends and other Trainers at real-world events, and much more,” said Hanke.
