As the Update says – The Android 8.0 Oreo update is now landing on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ units all over the UK. It’s a 600MB size update, which covers the November security patch and significant enhancements to Bluetooth stability.
This close to launch, there are no extra features to talk of (save for the option to disappear the notification of “Apps running in the background”). There are, though, loads of bug fixes, check out the official changelog below:
The original story follows below:
It looks like Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ users especially who are part of the Oreo beta group may shortly get to experiment the third beta build of the Android 8.0 firmware. The data comes courtesy of a Samsung spokesperson who is a member of the company’s UK Beta Team.
In his own words, the update will be rolled out”very very soon.”
To promptly refresh, the Oreo beta program for the Galaxy S8/S8+ – officially named Samsung Experience 9.0 Beta – started hitting for sale earlier this month. The second beta build appears just a week later, bringing some minor revisions as well as stability and bug fixes.
The beta program is currently limited to South Korea, the UK, and the US. The second stream of realms that’ll get entrance to it includes Germany, France, Spain, Poland, China, and India- no info on accurately when will that occur though.
